SportsCarolina Monthly Senior Staff Writer Desmond Johnson has been selected to handle play by play for the slate of High School Games being broadcast by Black Network Television (BNT) starting August 18, 2012.
The package will be broadcast each Saturday at 4pm on Black Network Television, over-air channel 20.2. The games will be available to over 4 million homes in the broadcast area.
BNT will be broadcasting home games for Greensboro high schools Dudley and Ben L. Smith High School. The games will rotate between schools based on which team is at home that week for the entire 2012 Football season.
Desmond Johnson has been a member of SportsCarolina Monthly since 2008. Now a senior staff writer, Johnson has covered Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Bobcats and ACC Basketball in the past. He will continue to write for SportsCarolina Monthly.
“Im excited to be selected to help bring great high school football to the Piedmont and beyond,” Johnson said. “Both Dudley and Smith have proud alumni bases in the area and we expect the support in the community for both schools to be tremendous during the season.”
Look for the games starting Saturday afternoon at 4pm. The first game features the season opener for the Dudley Panthers as they take on Southern Guilford.
